Tonight I got the following in my message tab:
6/18/2007 10:34:20 PM|SETI@home Beta Test|Generated new host CPID: 7e3b1da16b8476d11459181fc2f8b7b7
Anyone know why the CPUID would suddenly change? I haven't changed the chip or the (over)clocking recently...

Thats Cross Project ID. You might find your BOINC stats in a mess until they are brought in line by all projects.

But still, why would this change, when nothing else has? and why would SETI beta be the project making the change?

I suppose something hapened to your AMD Opteron 165 (or to the Boinc installation on it, more exactly to Seti Beta project part of the Boinc installation) during last four days and today at 19 Jun 2007 5:33:54 UTC your computer contacted the project servers with new identity (and probably got assigned a new CPID). Is Boinc still willing to crunch the 24 WUs, which were there? Did you somehow re-attach the project?

Unknown... I had a wierd one over on S@H main... on shutting down the BOINC client (5.8.15) S@H main (apparently) decided that I had detached from the project, and marked all WU's in progress as such. I had done no such thing, I simply wanted to shut down/restart the client... and that's what I thought I did! I also now have a beta floater WU that I can't get to report, I get:
6/20/2007 5:53:17 AM|SETI@home Beta Test|Message from server: Result 15fe07aa.24859.6616.5.5.97_2 is no longer usable
every time I contact Beta...

I finally detached/re-attached to delete that WU...
I've also had other random non-commanded wierdness happen - on this computer in BOINC - in the last week, like, most recently, an un-commanded "suspend network activity" - if this keeps up, I'll have to replace the client, probably with 5.10.7 (or whatever is current!)...
