For the next week or so, please use stock apps, not those obtained elsewhere, in SETI@home beta. If you are running with GPU only, please run both GPU and GPU.
If you have a long cache (a week or more) please cancel those results or reset the project. If you have a short cache (days) you can run them to completion.
Thank you. We're attempting to fix some validator issues. Too many anonymous platform results can make it hard to diagnose the problems.

What with already downloaded cache? should it be purged or completed and reported before switching to stock ?

You mean both - CPU and GPU? ;-)
- - - - - - - - - -
Maybe it would be fine to do this?
Stop BOINC (and project applications) complete.
Project folder, copy of the work units to a temporary folder.
Start BOINC, reset project.
Stop BOINC complete.
Project folder, delete all files and applications (empty). Copy all work units back.
Start BOINC and allow request of new work units.
*Re-sent*, the download will be skipped because the work units are already on the HDD - online re-marked as stock application.
But currently this don't work...

Yes, it worked... ;-)
Online they are re-marked as stock 6.04 now.
Example: resultid=10944492.
To now not shown in the host application overview...
Now I need to know how to let run 2 work units/GPU (and other settings)... ;-)

First obvious thing to report after restart with stock AP app is the new runtime estimation for GPU : 1421:43:26 hours with a deadline on July 31st 2012. So the Remaining (estimated) is ca. three times longer than the deadline for the result.

Ohhh... they were GPU work units - it looks like...
To now I had only GPU enabled - and in past only this entries in app_info.xml file.
As BOINC asked only for GPU work units - it worked.
Then I enabled also CPU, then they all:

Well, something is wrong with 6.04 for ATI, for Nvidia I can get 6.04's without problems. I don't seem to be able to get any work for my HD4850 for OpenCL AP 6.04. It requests work for both CPU and GPU, but only get 6.01 for the CPU. I have even reset the project but still nothing for the GPU, even if Boinc asks for it
When Boinc asks for GPU work, the reply is:
2012-07-06 22:05:07 SETI@home Beta Test Requesting new tasks for GPU
2012-07-06 22:05:11 SETI@home Beta Test Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
2012-07-06 22:05:11 SETI@home Beta Test Message from server: No tasks sent
2012-07-06 22:05:11 SETI@home Beta Test Message from server: No tasks are available for AstroPulse v6
2012-07-06 22:05:11 SETI@home Beta Test Message from server: Tasks for NVIDIA GPU are available, but your preferences are set to not accept them
When I also tick Nvidia (which I shouldn't since I run ATI, the reply is simply:
2012-07-06 22:24:14 SETI@home Beta Test Requesting new tasks for GPU
2012-07-06 22:24:17 SETI@home Beta Test Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
2012-07-06 22:24:17 SETI@home Beta Test Message from server: No tasks sent
2012-07-06 22:24:17 SETI@home Beta Test Message from server: No tasks are available for AstroPulse v6
Although at the same time the CPU 6.01, is freely handed out en masse.
Edit, added.
When unticking ATI the reply is stupidly that it exists work for ATI:
2012-07-06 22:30:57 SETI@home Beta Test Requesting new tasks for GPU
2012-07-06 22:31:00 SETI@home Beta Test Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks

2012-07-06 22:31:00 SETI@home Beta Test Message from server: Tasks for AMD/ATI GPU are available, but your preferences are set to not accept them
And when unticking both the reply is:
2012-07-06 19:01:56 SETI@home Beta Test Requesting new tasks for GPU
2012-07-06 19:02:00 SETI@home Beta Test Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks

2012-07-06 19:02:00 SETI@home Beta Test Message from server: Tasks for AMD/ATI GPU are available, but your preferences are set to not accept them
How logical is that?? |

Hopefully those estimates will fix themselves quickly.
Again, not the way we want to go on main!
While they will fix themselves too many tasks will be finished with -177 or so error because of too big estimations.
We need either better initial estimates or transfer already established estimates between updates.

Too big of an estimate will not give the -177 error, that occurs when the task takes more than 10 times the original estimate. |

I did an upgrade to BM 7.0.28 on my machine that ran 6.12.34 and then it got new work.
Read here: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=68641&sort=6
BM 7.0.28 almost works now when running several GPU projects with SETI
Running only SETI should work fine. Just change the min cache and max cache parameters to your opposite. if it was 0 and 2days cache before change it to 2 and 0.5 now and it'll be almost the same.
BM 7 is for real now and for the future it seems. |

Hopefully those estimates will fix themselves quickly.
My guess is that there is some bug in creating the initial estimates.
After reporting the first few results with ATI GPU AP 6.04 stock app these got validated and rewarded with :
0.53 cr
0.54 cr
So, host 58896 shows the credits-bug with stock and with anonymous platform. Will keep watching.
Secondary the CPU is running setiathome_6.97 and is credited normal.

AP 6.03 worked with Boinc 6, so I'm sure it's just a forgotten plan class somewhere. I will not upgrade to any V7 Boinc, until I'm forced to do so, with a threat of death or something like that. |

Add the project to your Boinc Manager.
Check the needed boxes in SETI Beta preferences in the account page.
Use CPU, Use ATI, Use Nvidia
Mark the boxes Seti@Home V7 and Astropulse V6
