Why should you join TEAM: Brian? You shouldn't! TEAM: Brian has an impressive 5 total members that span more than thirty projects. After more than three years of inactivity, I have finally updated the team website, which still sucks almost as much as it before the update. We have no goals and no drive. If you join TEAM: Brian you can expect nothing and TEAM: Brian expects nothing from you. So, in short, if apathy were a category for teams, TEAM: Brian wold be number one, but also wouldn't really care. |

TEAM: Brian has an incredible 4 members spread out over 30+ projects. Our website is a complete joke and it has not been updated in a year or more. (Probably a lot more.) We have no goals and no drive. If you join TEAM: Brian you can expect nothing and TEAM: Brian expects nothing from you. TEAM: Brian does, however, have its own city. The city is actually just a huge waste of time. So, in short, if apathy were a category for teams, TEAM: Brian wold be number one, but also wouldn't really care. Oh, by the way, I will update the web page someday. Someday... |

Thanks for the help Grumpy, but that actually was all I needed to know. |

Thank you. That is exactly what I needed to know. No offence to all the well meaning people who have given me tons of advice on the other forums, but sometimes a simple, straight forward answer to the question at hand is all that is necessary. Anyway, thanks again for the info. I now know what I need to do. With luck, I can finish the 200 hours left on the Seti@Home BETA work unit I have left, but the 400 hours left on the Climate Prediction.net work unit will have to be left undone. There is simply not enough time. |

I am getting ready to do a major upgrade on my computer. New motherboard, processor and RAM, so, basically, a whole new system. I plan on moving the hard drives over without installing a new OS. Should I let all of my current work units finish or will it be ok to continue work on them with different hardware? Should I Uninstall BOINC and reinstall on the new hardware or will the project care if this copy of BOINC is suddenly on a new computer? And are there any other problems that I am not thinking of? |

I try to submit my profile, it seems to work, then there is no profile there. Any ideas? Brian |
