After I reboot my computer, sometimes Boinc Manager becomes unresponsive. I must click on the taskbar several times before it opens, and once it does open, it is completely blank as if Boinc had just been installed.

It doesn't show seti@home as a project, and it doesn't show it working on any units. If I try to attach seti as a new project, the manager doesn't do anything. However, the weird thing is that when I open task manager, seti@home is loaded and crunching a unit.

The error occurs on both of my computers, one is a 2.8Ghz Prescott Pentium 4 and the other is an Athlon64 3000.

The problem is very very irritating, and the only solution I've found so far is to uninstall and reinstall Boinc. It works fine then (until I shutdown and start the computer later...).

Is there anything I can do to permenantly fix this?

Give BoincManager a few minutes to connect to the local projects running. I have seen it take up to about 5 minutes before it connects and populates.

When you open it, you will see it says disconnected in the bottom right corner. This means it has not attached to the running projects.

If it doesn't connect on it's own, go to File, Selecr Computer, leave it blank, and OK that (if blank does not work, change to localhost).

I hope this helps.
