Me too. :) It took all of about 60 secs to set up. :)

Lovely job, Petrus. Thank you very much. :))

Well, if it could look in the config.php for defaults for options that do not appear in the URL, that would be good. The URL options must override the config.php, though to allow for tailoring the sig to different sites.

Well, downloading the package and reading the instructions would be a good start then you could ask specific questions about anything you don't understand. ;)

Or for the simple way (but slow to load), just read the first message in this thread.

I must admit that I never thought about only using the script for one person. but I will include something regarding that problem in the next release!

Thanks for these ideas!

@Ned Ludd and Seti-Cruncher: there is now a mode for only one user

Petrus,

A couple more thoughts,

a) on some of the images you have the justify so that the values line up to the right, but in others, the numbers do not line up: look at the post of 11 Feb where you state:

> New version 3.5 adds Predictor support so that finally ALL projects are
> implemented :)
> So now you can have something like that:

b) how about commas for the thousands place ...

Hi@all,

today I finally announce the new <font>version 4.0 of boincwapstats</font>!

Changes since last 3.x version (3.6):
- added statistics (see folder statistics for details)
For an example, click here

- LHC is now fully supported (finally they have WAP on their page)
- added some more MySQL tables and entries (upgrade for 3.5/3.6 tables is included, needed if you want to use statistics)
- moved output.php to output/output.php
- added support for project "LHC-Alpha"
- bugfixes

Unfortunately, the load on my server got significantly higher during the last weeks, so if you have got a webspace/server, it would be great it you could install the script there. If you have got little free traffic, you can use the one_user_mode, should you have more, it would be even greater if you opened your server for the public.
For limiting the load, I implemented a new function which allows you to set a daily maximum of signature requests. Those who are willing to set up a public server can add it to the mirrorlist here. Thank you very much!!

The mirrorlist
(Please try to use mirrors in order to share the load on different servers)

Would you do an index.php for those stats which includes a configurator that puts out a URL ready to use?

Maybe a little more explanation is used:
Instead of linking to your site (which creates a lot of traffic due to your examples) and let the user read which options he can use, the configurator could tell and let him choose the possibilities for the desired image he wants to create.

1. choice of which image he wants to create
2. input of neccessary data like 'ID', 'Project name'
3. choice of extra options like 'style', etc.
4. show him the result of his choices (image and url to use) and let him do changes to No.3 if he wants to.

btw: great work!
I've put my webserver onto the mirror list. It's at: http://www.andyk.de/bws/counter.php

Hi,

@Seti-Cruncher & AndyK: Thank you VERY much for providing mirrors!!

>Would you do an index.php for those stats which includes a configurator that puts >out a URL ready to use?

Nice idea with the indexpage, I also think about that at the moment. Perhaps some more users could post here what they would want to have on an indexpage like that ^^.

The configurator is a very good idea and I'm currently coding a graphic that indicates the current server load.

Greetings

OK, here is a double announcement:

- New version 4.1 is out, more details on the homepage.

- The project's homepage is now located at sourcefoge.net, and therefore the URLs changed:

Homepage: http://boincwapstats.sourceforge.net/
Mirror list: http://boincwapstats.sourceforge.net/mirrors/

Please also note the new URL-generator which simplyfies choosing the right commands and also randomly selects mirrors.

Have fun!

Hi again,

there is a new version out (4.2).

Changes can be found here, download of the source code here.

Apart from minor changes like bugfixes and the german main page I also added a new mode for summary.php called Team Summary. It shows the total team credit over different BOINC projects. Use it by adding &team_summary to the URL, specify projects and a user id of a user who is member of the selected team.

Example:

Petrus, Are the images sizes big - because the load so slow. Or is it the server load that delays image loads?

They're not that big ... 5 to 40 KB per pic
I think it is the server load cause nearly all of the images in this thread are actually generated on my server. If you want to use it yourself, you can increase speed by using a mirror, see "Use" in my signature.

Hi Quail and PeterHallgarten, I just opened up mirror creation again (at the moment I'm testing a new Load Balancer), so if you want to add your mirrors to the list, this would be great of course!

Has anyone done an .htaccess rewrite for this yet so folks can use signature.gif instead of counter_detailed.php?id=305369&project=seti&style=20 ??

.

No, there is no .htaccess in the official code and probably never will be due to server limitations (some webspaces do not provide .htaccess-options).

I think I solved this problem otherwise: The new Load Balancer (currently being tested) can also change the PHP-option syntax, so your URL part would look like that:

http://boincwapstats.sourceforge.net/counter_detailed.php/id:305369/project:seti/style:20/p.png

As you can see, you can include a picture in this way, even on boards that block PHP-images.

Yeah, I saw that....any idea when you will be releasing that to the public?

I'm currently mirror #14, but the majority of the folks I know use nuke flavored sites which generally block php images by default. So I made a .htaccess to rewrite signature.php to signature.gif or .jpg, and that's the signature you see below......but I'm having a heck of a time doing that for the new code.

.
<a href="http://www.brainsmashr.com"><img src="http://www.brainsmashr.com/signature.gif"><img src="http://brainsmashr.com/boinc/counter_big.php?id=305369&amp;project=seti&amp;ctx=white&amp;cva=red&amp;cbo=white&amp;cbg=black&amp;linethickness=2"></a>
