To answer your question, it doesn't matter if we're doing work that was recorded from the sky yesterday, or last year, or 10 years ago, as the point in the sky where it's read from is thousands of light years away. So it doesn't really matter when THE SIGNAL is found, as that one will have been broadcast all those thousands of years ago. So you can see that it's then peanuts whether that signal is found in a recording made yesterday, a year or ten years ago. It won't change the outcome. | |
