We call it Remembrance Day here, and donÕt consider it a happy occasion, rather a sombre one. In recent years Veterans Affairs Canada has instituted a ÒVeteransÕ WeekÓ leading up to the date.   ID: 30902 · |

I have been avoiding this... In 1971 I remember watching two flag drapped coffins being unloaded from a plane in a small town... One of those coffins was a person and friend I grew up with... It was a tough time, I am still here and he is gone. Death and War does not care! There was really not much I could say to his mother... I could not provide the justifications she wanted. I could only share a comforting Huggg and Tears... All I can say I was there when He came Home... No One can ever know my feelings in that moment. Welcome Home and Rest in Peace!
