No Green Stars on Beta? The green stars are given for money donations to the Seti@Home project, which is in dire economically problems. This is the reason for that they opened up for donations from the users. This project, on the other hand, even it also functions as the test project for the Seti main applications, is a different project, and it's funded, as you can see below on the front page: "AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956" In fact, you can't donate to this project even if you want to, therefore there is no green star for donations, hence there are no money donors here. So, two different projects, no star here. Just as you don't carry your green star to other projects, such as Rosetta@Home, Einstein@Home, LHC@Home, etc. "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me ![]() |
