http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/status.php @ admins Maybe it's possible to enable the validator? The daily WU quota can't increase, because the wingmen results are not checked.. And/or increase the daily quota like at SETI Main to 800 WUs/GPU. 100 WUs/GPU aren't enough for a GTX2xx card. Thanks! ![]() |

Are we going to receive credit for all the work we completed and are completing right now ?? I have a couple of hundred work units pending credit yet most of the work units have been completed by two people.. |

It seems that my computers have been able to connect sporadically this whole past weekend, though now this machine (the dual-core Athlon II) is getting HTTP errors when it tries to reconnect. I suspect the Beta server is in fact running and it's just getting so hammered by all the backlogged requests that it keeps crashing or getting its processes stuck in whatever bottlenecks it has... but that's just a guess seeing that my HTPC got a few workunits for Beta. ![]() 2.3GHz X2 64bit AMD Athlon|2GB RAM|WinXP Pro|2243.7GB total (OC'ed to 2.53GHz) 1.6GHz Celeron|512mB RAM|WinXP Home|80gB SATA 3.1GHz X3 64-bit Athlon|Win7 Pro 64-bit|32GB SSD, 2 8GB |

@ admins It's possible to enable the validator? I have currently.. Pending credit: 461,974.33 ..and maybe 50 % both results/WU sent. The daily WU quota can't increase, if the validator is disabled. ![]() |

Agreed, while I don't have quite as many pending as Sataru, it has been a while since the validators have run. It would be good to know whether the effort was worth it. |

I don't think any part of the status page is correct. Hopefully when the new servers get here Eric will take the time to update it. ![]() ![]() |

The last conversation I had with Eric about the Server Status page. Beta is running on Bruno. The scripts that control the Deamons for the various services were conflicting with Seti Main. By disabling the reporting protion of the scripts they could run the Service Deamons, the Beta status page would not reflect what is or is not running. I will poke an email in Eric's direction Monday. Regards Thanks to Paul and Friends Please consider a Donation to the Seti Project |

Communications not the best around here is it. Been looking in here for days now hoping for some idea when we'll get our credit if any. |

I have now.. Pending credit: 761,793.41 .. X-D ..but - not a problem. I know, all pendings will be granted. S@h Beta is the beta project of S@h. ;-) I guess, the admins have the intention to bring online again the main project (S@h ;-) - first. Maybe in two weeks this could happen.. After this, I guess, they will look to the beta project. AFAIK, currently no new apps for test. So no need to hurry. AFAIK, the validation/granting is not like at the main project automatically, the admins need to look here manually from time to time to do this.. ![]() |

Hi, the communication on the main project's site does not seem to be better ... by the way, a short information in what will happen the next days would not be wrong, folks@seti ... Jörg |

We all have been watching. As Near as I can surmise, Seti Beta was on the Old Bruno which has now been replaced. With all the harware swaps happening, the Staff felt that having Beta up was not in the best interest of Seti Main back up. So while communcations have been very lean. There is hope that as SEti Main comes up SEti Beta will not be far behind. Regards Thanks to Paul and Friends Please consider a Donation to the Seti Project |

Good morning all. I see from the status page that there are now 7000 + WU's in the field almost double Mondays we appear in some form to be in service again. Many thanks for the update in validated WU's What can we look forward to in the future. Edit (I am getting a security warning on login. Any idea's why please I have altered nothing.) Except run cc clean.) Michael |

The certificate for the website has probably expired. |

It seems the website is using an outdated security certificate—not that I know anything about such things, but I don’t think it represents any significant risk. I’ve received similar warnings at a couple of different BOINC project websites. Meanwhile, I have a few tasks showing “Validation errorâ€; here’s hoping they’ll get reëvaluated or credited at some point … ![]() |

The certificate is not outdated or expired. It's a self-signed certificate: setibase.ssl.berkeley.edu Space Sciences Laboratory SETI@home Berkeley California US Not valid after: 3/25/20 20:26:00 GMT Note that the certificate enables encrypted communication so your password is protected. The "setibase.ssl.berkeley.edu" host resolves to the same IP as "setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu" or "setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu", but the hostname difference plus self-signing will make web browsers question it. Personally, I trust the S@H staff much more than Verisign or some of the other CAs, so I just instructed my browser to accept the certificate. When the issue came up before, Eric implied they're considering procuring a certificate from a CA. That would avoid the anxiety some feel when their browser warns them it can't judge the certificate validity. Joe |

To the Certificate issue, Eric know it. Wen I got it I found the Donations discussion over at main and posted there with a PM to Eric. Sounded like this was not intended. Christoph |
