I think SSSE3 r246 will be faster for i7. SSE2 r303 mostly targeted to AMD and older Intel CPUs.

It seems not.
Both units AR 0.41

I7_2600K r246 took 12xxx seconds

I7_860 r303 took 9xxx second

http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/result.php?resultid=9552424

And remember 26K is lot faster

Running my first r303 on my Phenom II @3.6GHZ now.

Note that the i7-2600K also has a couple of ATI GPUs. The GPU tasks run at a much higher priority than CPU tasks to maximize productivity, but that can lead to longer run times for the CPU tasks.

I noticed that Joe.

Same on my host.
I was running 2 instances r246 units on GPU as well wich uses CPU for autocoor calculation.

Edit: Validators are still offline.

Some tasks I reported less than an hour ago have been validated, so I guess the v7 Validator is on again.
