I see astropulse v6 applications running but they are using my CPU. Will BOINC not install/run a higher version of Astropulse? |

The Stock v6 Astropulse app is only available for CPU, in Windows, Linux/x86 and Linux/x86_64 flavours: Setiathome Beta Applications Claggy |

I still don't understand. I guess my question is, how do I get any Seti@home (beta) app to use my ATI GPU? The seti@home beta preferences ask if I want to use my GPU (v6.10+), which I have set to YES. ...but I don't control which version/app boinc uses. So why wouldn't it run the latest (v.7.x) on my Win x64/ATI GPU? Do I need to use a manual install of the app (i.e. not use BOINC)? |

I still don't understand. I guess my question is, how do I get any Seti@home (beta) app to use my ATI GPU? The only application this project has for an ATI GPU is for Astropulse, not Astropulse v6. If the project made a mistake and split some work for that older application, BOINC would then deliver both work and application to your systems. There are third-party ATI OpenCL applications being tested here for SETI@home v7 work, and the project has just split nearly 190000 suitable tasks. See the MultiBeam V7 for CPU and ATi GPUs, rev390 thread. Joe |

hmm... So BOINC should be downloading a newer version of the astropulse applicaiton? This is what I'm getting now: http://i.imgur.com/3cpEG.png Looks like seti@home is sending me (for astropulse) v505 units, and the beta is sending me v6 units. |
