One point more, Max tasks per day = 2 is set for this AstroPulse v6 6.04 windows_intelx86 (cuda_opencl_100)
So how can I get 17 results of this App?

The Max tasks per day is multiplied by the project's gpu_multiplier setting for tasks assigned to a GPU. That setting is probably 8 so the actual total ought to have been limited to 16, but the way it is actually applied allows a little overshoot sometimes.

OK, got one GPU result for this computer. So it seem to be not that problem as I thought.
And this GPU result has a "normal" estimated runtime of round 12 hours.

for this result I also got "Maximum elapsed time exceeded"
runtime 8,395.29
CPU time 2,280.83
http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/result.php?resultid=11032652

Joe, thanks for the GPU Tasks info.

Message 43428 - Posted: 21 Jul 2012, 17:45:44 UTC

I reported this a couple months ago but never got a response. I have been unable to test any stock app because of consistent verification failures of all the files that BOINC tries to download.

I have no trouble with regular downloads from other sites, only when BOINC tries to download new stock apps. What certificate is it trying to use? Why are the files failing verification?

can you check the file content of the downloaded file with a text editor (notepad)?

I had also a problem downloading the exe files from seti beta.
The URL was blocked by my anti virus SW.
Did download the exe files manually without active anti virus SW, set seti beta to NNW, then reset the project, stop bonic, copy the downloaded exe to seti beta project folder and start boinc and set boinc to NW.
the download of the exe files is skipped.

That particular error is tied to having a <use_certs_only>1</use_certs_only> option in your cc_config.xml. That somewhat explains why nobody else has reported the issue.

If that option is needed by some other project, you might consider just changing the value to 0 long enough to get the executables downloaded here, then go back to 1.

I do know the executables have digital signatures, and they certainly ought to be accepted by BOINC. But I do not know any more specific details.

THANK YOU!

It seems BOINC v7.x.x turns that option on when it creates a default cc_config for you. I'm sure more people will have trouble with this in the future if '1' continues to be the default value.

Stange. Not in my experience: I have a couple of machines where I have those auto-generated cc_config files, and in both cases they have

        <use_certs>0</use_certs>
        <use_certs_only>0</use_certs_only>

- in other words, the framework is there, but the value is 'zero' so the option is inactive. I wonder if an early version of that feature had a bug which has since been corrected? I haven't heard of anyone else being bitten by it.

I don't know any other way for it to have been turned on. I never mucked with any of the cert settings. use_certs was 0 and use_certs_only was 1.

I'll test it out again with the near-release v7.0.31, just to be on the safe side.

Since there are so many questions regarding anoymous platform maybe someone could write a post over at Q&A forum. Then we can point there in the future.
