I've only got a little ION GPU running, so cuda22 takes forever. It would be nice to finally get rid of it. In fact I got so bored with 22 I'm only crunching CPU atm. Anyway, this is an ASUS netbook 1215n. I'm guessing something is deeply customized in hardware/software 'cause even Nvidia's official scanner won't detect my card. For some reason though, GPU-z is ALWAYS able to detect driver versions. Any ideas/workarounds? Problem exists no matter what driver is used or how cleanly it's installed. Boinc has just never-ever been able to detect my driver. |

Try using a later version of BOINC. We had the same problem with my 420M laptop using 'Optimus' (dual graphics adapter) technology: the fix (Windows only) is in v6.12.37 and all later versions. Your v6.10.60 is too old, I think. |

What if it still doesn't work? Will I be able to go back to 6.10.60? I can't stand 'Event Log', but I'd tolerate it, if it made BETA work for me. But if it doesn't I'd like to be able to go back to v6 Boinc. Or has the 'reverting back' problem been fixed ages ago? |

There are a few tolerable versions of BOINC in the v6.12.38 - v6.12.43 range which allow you to revert back to v6.10.xx without difficulty. You would need to pick one out of http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/?C=M;O=D - there aren't any 'recommended' links in that range. It's the upgrade to BOINC v7 which is the one-way trapdoor. Read the last few posts in http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=5883 before picking a number. |

Thank you Richard, your insight is always deeply appreciated. I'll ponder biting the bullet and 'upgrading' to Boinc 7. |
