No, it doesn't, the HTC One S sits on top of the i7-2600K case, right above the Corsair H100i, it's perhaps the coolest crunching phone out there, at work where it sits on a plastic surface it's just slightly warm, in the car when it's powered off the lighter socket it gets warmer, but doesn't change the result. My HTC One V ran okay and was fairly cool when I tested 7.06 app on it. I had it plugged into my FX-4100 for the entire time and it stayed charged. http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/show_host_detail.php?hostid=64298 |

That's really weird. It looks like they were running OK to that point. ![]() |

I attached my Intel Atom Z2420 thinking I'd get a task when/if other procs besides ARM receive support but I appear to be crunching at a rate of approximately 1% per hour. Which is nice :) Other tasks probably got trashed while I was scrambling to get my settings sorted. Do you guys think it'll finish the task on an Intel proc or am I just wasting bandwidth? Asus Fonepad - essentially a Nexus 7 with phone capabilities and an Atom instead of a Tegra |

Strange that it's reported as having an ARMv7 processor rev 1 (v7l) processor, a Boinc Bug?, or because Android Boinc is running on an unsupported CPU? What does the Boinc say in the Event Log on startup? Claggy |

Where did you get the client from? from the Play Store? or from a Manual Download from the Boinc site? Claggy |

2 Arm ArmV7 processor rev 1 (v7l) Vfp swp half thumb fastmult edsp vfpv3 I also restarted the tablet completely shutting it down to see if anything might change but no. Still showing ARMv7 in event log. Task was at 5% on restart and stayed there afterwards but elapsed time went from 5hrs to 6min. Edit: client from Play Store Edit 2: event log startup Client Messages Thu Sep 05 22:58:46 EEST 2013||Resuming network activity Thu Sep 05 22:58:43 EEST 2013||(to change preferences, visit a project web site or select Preferences in the Manager) Thu Sep 05 22:58:43 EEST 2013||suspend work if non-BOINC CPU load exceeds 50 % Thu Sep 05 22:58:43 EEST 2013||don't use GPU while active Thu Sep 05 22:58:43 EEST 2013||don't compute while active Thu Sep 05 22:58:43 EEST 2013||max CPUs used: 1 Thu Sep 05 22:58:43 EEST 2013||max disk usage: 9.65GB Thu Sep 05 22:58:43 EEST 2013||max memory usage when idle: 483.72MB Thu Sep 05 22:58:43 EEST 2013||max memory usage when active: 483.72MB Thu Sep 05 22:58:43 EEST 2013||Preferences: Thu Sep 05 22:58:43 EEST 2013||Reading preferences override file Thu Sep 05 22:58:42 EEST 2013||Suspending network activity - not connected to WiFi network Thu Sep 05 22:58:42 EEST 2013||Suspending computation - GUI not active Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||Not using a proxy Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||(to change preferences, visit a project web site or select Preferences in the Manager) Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||suspend work if non-BOINC CPU load exceeds 50 % Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||don't use GPU while active Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||don't compute while active Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||max CPUs used: 1 Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||max disk usage: 9.65GB Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||max memory usage when idle: 483.72MB Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||max memory usage when active: 483.72MB Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||Preferences: Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||Reading preferences override file Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013|SETI@home Beta Test|URL http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/; Computer ID 64720; resource share 100 Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||No usable GPUs found Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||Local time is UTC +3 hours Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||Disk: 11.72 GB total, 9.74 GB free Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||Memory: 967.44 MB physical, 0 bytes virtual Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||OS: Android: 3.0.34-00001-g4f8933f Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||Processor features: vfp swp half thumb fastmult edsp vfpv3 Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||Processor: 2 ARM ARMv7 processor rev 1 (v7l) Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||Data directory: /data/data/edu.berkeley.boinc/client Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||Running as a daemon Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||Libraries: libcurl/7.28.1 OpenSSL/1.0.1c zlib/1.2.6 Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||log flags: file_xfer, sched_ops, task, task_debug Thu Sep 05 22:58:40 EEST 2013||Starting BOINC client version 7.2.9 for arm-android-linux-gnu |

If BOINC runs then good chances SETI app will run too. Perhaps some emulation from Android runtime? AFAIK Android executable is managed code like .Net or Java. |

Another 7.08 tasks are frozen on same host. After restart they continue with greatly decreased elapsed time (so, they hang few dozen hours w/o any progress or checkpointing). Didn't observe same behavior on another G-tab or with other app versions so far. |
