I updated BOINC to 7.2.35, so far the problem persists. I'm going to finish the actual WU and then I'll test more.

Another thing I've noticed - time goes back to zero only when the work was suspended due to disconnecting the charger. If the work is suspended due to CPU load, timer won't reset.

Edit:
I recalled that the timer wasn't resetting on World Community Grid application. So maybe it's something specific about your app and my phone?

I still have the same Boinc 7.2.9 I installed when I first came to Beta. Is there a good reason to update it?

Also, FWIW, I had another SIGBUS error on http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/result.php?resultid=15570680. Is there anything I can do to avoid those, or are they just going to happen occasionally?

I think I've identified the cause of that one, and I'm hoping my next release will fix it.

OK tested on another Android but armv6-vfp keep crashing.
It is an old Onda vi40 Elite Allwinner A10 Single core (ARM Cortex-A8, i.e. NEON and VFPv3) Android version 4.0.4

This is more of a FYI, not many devices use Allwinner A10 now.
It could also due to the Android ROM because it is not exactly the most stable anyway.

Claggy, thx for the changeset info. I have found a Android 4.4.2 beta firmware and it has a "fake battery" patch which always indicates 50%. I am running 2 tasks on my RK3188 TV stick now with BIOIC 4.2.15 SETI version 7.24 (armv6-vfp). Not all devices will have the patch so the changeset would still needed.

I just notice Android BOINC has been upgrade to 7.2.36 with the an option to select which power source the BOINC is allow to run from.

I will have to test that with another flashing to see if it works with batteryless devices.

Any chances to see v7.24 working on older Android devices ?
We have such build already but only for offline runs, would be nice if it will be released as new stock.

How is it for speed? (Sorry, didn't manage to get the Intel one out to main yet. Still trying to pick up the pieces from last night and yesterday and last week.)

I think it has to be limited to OpenCL 1.2 drivers.

I would not say it's issue cause it can be done when plan class created.
Looks like Berkeley's staff left us for week or so.

Sorry for my absence. The file server that contained my email, my account, and my development tree had a triple disk failure on Jan 5th. It took until today to get everything back up and running and restored, although I still have some corruption that isn't allowing me to do a svn update of my seti@home android tree. I'm hoping to get that fixed and have an android version released to beta this weekend. I also hope to release the Intel OpenCL (1.2) to the main project next week.

Just a quick question when will the Android version be officially supported? We have done many tests on Epic's builts now and the armv6-vfp has been stable and armv6 seems to give good compatibility to many 1GH+ Android devices.

But the latest version 7.24, is the slowest of all the versions I've tested so far. If they can't get it faster than this, I will not run SETI on my phone on main. 7.24, is painfully slow compared to the other earlier versions:

SETI@home v7 7.21 arm-android-linux-gnu (armv6-vfp):
Average processing rate: 1.50 GFLOPS

SETI@home v7 7.22 arm-android-linux-gnu (armv6-vfp): Buggy, Withdrawn

SETI@home v7 7.23 arm-android-linux-gnu (armv6-vfp)
Average processing rate: 1.64 GFLOPS

SETI@home v7 7.24 arm-android-linux-gnu (armv6-vfp)
Average processing rate: 1.24 GFLOPS

For me 7.24 seems a little bit faster:

http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/host_app_versions.php?hostid=68604

Now this may not be very reliable as there were only a small number of tasks involved (and they were also split between armv6-vfp and armv7-vfpv4). I don't understand why I keep receiving armv7-vfpv4 while armv6-vfp seems faster.

I checked hosts for a couple of other users that posted in this thread and it looks like the results are mixed (e.g. look at Claggy's top two ARM hosts). For some of them 7.23 was faster while for others 7.24 is faster.

I only checked a couple of hosts and it looks like the hosts that have only 512 Mb of memory are slower with 7.24 while hosts that have more memory are faster. But maybe I just did not check enough hosts ...
