Has the deadline become shorter? I had been getting tasks that had an 8 week deadline, then earlier this week the deadlines were for 4 weeks, and now I am seeing deadlines of 7 weeks. This is not just resends but also first time WUs. Am I missing something? |

This is not just resends but also first time WUs. Am I missing something? Different Seti v7 Wu's have different Angle Ranges (whether the telescope is looking a fixed position in space, or is tracking across the sky), At different Angle Ranges, different searches are carried out, meaning Low AR Wu's take a shorter time to do, and so have a shorter deadline, while Normal AR and VLARs have more searches applied to them, take longer, and have a longer deadline. (they range from something like 4 weeks to 8+ weeks) Then there is Astropulse, that has something like a three and half week deadline. Claggy |

Thanks for the insight. Ok, so I am getting them in bunches. And as Murphy's law would work out, the batches are shorter when I am going to need them longer. I generally get them done quickly (Boinc scheduling permitting), but I am about ready to go on an extended vacation and would like to have the longer WUs so they wouldn't time out before I got back. C'est la vie. |
