I thought I read that stats exports finally came back yesterday. That could be only for Main, though. Anyway, as long as your stats continue to build here on this site, they will eventually be exported when that process gets fixed.

(Otoh, with no work available, there won't be any stats to accumulate anyway.)

Bruno expired, the Astropulse science database ran up to some new limits, and is getting rebuilt, because of that they're run out of tapes to split, and so have out of work,
now the science database has crashed, and so will need rebuilding, Once they're finished moving bruno's services around, and fixed everything else, then they'll likely get external stats working, having external stats working isn't essential for us to crunch, that can wait a few weeks.

In the meantime I am increasing the difference between the external and internal stats...

I just hope that Eric has time to solve this minor problem. It would be nice to see yourself stats in public.

Major problems like AP database and Bruno has priority of course.

I am patient and I can wait.

Now that most of the other problems seem to be resolved, is there any chance that this one can be attended to?

It doesn't even export to itself. My account page says I have over 150K credits, but down at the bottom where it lists all my projects, it still has my pre-crash tally of 39K.

Correct. No project monitors every other project by itself: instead, that whole "Projects in which you are participating" list is pulled in from an external stats site, specifically BOINC Combined Statistics.

When will the stats exports be fixed? It's going on two months now, which is just ridiculous.

Yes, but it is not an important part of BETA. Getting the main site working fully is more important than fixing stats export.

I understand that, but I also wonder... is it a major thing to fix, or just a script that needs to be tweaked or reinstalled or something?

In most cases, it takes longer to diagnose what sort of problem it is, than it takes to fix it once the cause is tracked down.

In one of my own programs, the numbers were about 18 months, and five minutes, respectively.

The trigger for the final fix was a phone call (pre-internet) from a user who described the all-too-familiar problem, and went on to describe what else had happened just before: "I was working through the program ... and then I was distracted by a phone call ... and I forgot where I'd got to ... so I ... and then I ..." BINGO! Fixed it practically before he'd put the phone down. That's one of the reasons why I'm so precise and pedantic about error and problem reports - I've been on the receiving end of the vague ones, and they're useless.
