I am running the CPU versions of SETI Beta, but am having trouble downloading an SSE or SSE2 type version of the Astropulse work units. I only seem to be getting the standard v7.00 version. This is on my (2) Fedora Linux 64 Bit AMD computers. The v7.00 version takes twice as long as the SSE2 version, going on the run times of my 32 Bit Windows XP machines which only take half the run time of the 64 Bit Linux machines. I have both v7.00 and v7.04 Astropulse executables in my BOINC folder but only the v7.00 gets selected. Should I delete the v7.00 executable to force work for the v7.04 version? Or would the project just download the v7.00 again? (At this point in time I noticed that we are out of Astropluse work, but I would still like to know why my SSE2 capable Linux machines don't get SSE2 work when same type of Windows machines do get the SSE2 work) Conan |

Check out this thread over on the Astropulse message board. This worked for me and hopefully will for you too. http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/forum_thread.php?id=2235#53991 SusieQ |

Thanks SusieQ, I will try again when more Astropulse work becomes available. Conan |
