The thing we tried last week (science database updates in advance of Green Bank data splitting) that didn't quite work? Well, we're doing it again this week, this time with hopefully more success. The beta project and other science database related stuff is offline until this is finished. We may likely run out of workunits, but we shall see...

Seti v7 development has stopped, Seti v8 development is in full swing, althrough only CPU and Windows ATI GPU apps have been released so far.

If you want work for your GPUs head over to the Main Seti project, although there is only a few days to go before they stop splitting Seti v7 work:

We plan to stop making new v7 work within a few days, because v8 really is more accurate when searching for Gaussians. You can keep v7 until you run out of v7 work. But eventually you'll want to upgrade. Hopefully we'll be getting the GPU versions out quickly.

If you still want to test here, you'll have to enable Seti v8 in your project preferences, as you have received no Seti v8 work yet.

4000 ready to send is now down to about 500 and I'm still not getting any for my gpu's(ATI5850). V8 is enabled in my preferences.

Double check that, and that you have 'Use CPU' and 'Use ATI GPU' enabled in your project preferences too, for the right location/venue,
you haven't received any work for any of your hosts since mid december, or earlier, and have yet to receive any Seti v8 CPU work.

I wasn't aiming for cpu work. Use ATI is checked.
Only GPU.

I am running .3299 HD5 ATI at main now.

Using the ATI 5850 with 2 quad computors.
As always the Intel Q6600 computor is warm so i run only on 1 card there until i get the new chassis fan installed. I maybe do that later today or tomorrow.

As v7 the splitting has been stopped on main there will be no more testing required. Thus as testing is the reason for Beta to be here there will be no more v7 tasks over here in Beta. Indeed, on main, once the v7 tasks out in the field there will be no more new v7 tasks over on main. The end of an era, but the dawn of a new one with v8 taking up the reigns.
