Any readers near new York? I'd recommend a hard hat just in case :)

Morning TL.

Keep your eyes peeled for low-flying mince pies, might be prudent to wear safety specs today ;-)

Edit: just seen Shampood's post. Could be spotted anywhere over USA, depending on prevailing winds :-) Hats and specs at the ready guys!

And fret ye not chums across the pond, a few mince pies lobbed your way is not a prelude to an invasion :)

If they were going fast enough to hit Chicago, the winds that will start up tonight will push them back to New York. If you wee aiming for Omaha, I might get lucky.

I think where I was aiming became irrelevant once they left UK airspace. The mince pies are now at the whim of the winds, so you never know ... :-D

Like a leaf on the wind they float, where their journeys end no one knows.

I haven't heard any reports of unexplained craters so I think they must still be floating around somewhere :-)

I have been wondering about that all day. I'll get my best "nothing to do with me" face ready.

I wonder if the forum here is running on a different version, the icons here are knackered but are OK over on main.

I seem to remember the same thing happened after a previous unplanned outage. No doubt they have bigger things to worry about if it's taken this long to get the boards up and running again.

I shan't lose any sleep over missing icons - missing mince pies on the other hand ... :-)

Perhaps a better way to describe them is 'not found yet' - they're out there somewhere :-)

... they seemed to have knocked out our chums across the pond too. Either that or they were so busy scoffing the pies they didn't have time to post overnight!

I'll have to rethink next week's baking - was going to do ginger shortbread, complete with ginger icing, cut into arrowhead shapes for better aerodynamics :-)
