Maybe this is a stupid question: I'm running Seti Beta and the app-versions are all older than the operational versions. Some tasks are even marked with "(old"). Does this still have an impact on improving the project or is it a waste of energy? Right now I'm running CPU WU with version 8.6 (old).

I think that may be a mis(leading) translation. I see the most recent version - ten days ago - as '8.06 (alt)' in English. To my mind, I read that as a contraction of 'alternate'. I think the main testing at the moment is to work out whether 8.05 or 8.06 is more efficient - so yes, continuing to run them has a purpose.
