Thanks Mike!!

Here we go, new thread, new goals.

The Last Person To Post Here Wins Thread, general rules:

1. Winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules.
2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.)
3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached.
4. When the target is reached, old winner posts declaration of new winner and also PMs them.
5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread (use the red cross to notify them)*
6. Go to 1.

At least I'm sitting up and taking nourishment today - yesterday was a day of painkillers, today is going to be slightly out of focus...

Ouch! Hope you're feeling better soon.

PS Do you still have the lifeboat - may need it later on if it keeps raining like this ...

Not my lifeboat.
She's still got it, and we are going to move it to its home this coming weekend - should be "fun", its many years since I last did the downstream turn into the Brent at Brentford....

Wow, that was a long outrage ..

Ah, the River Thames - been a long time since I've been along there. Probably a different lock keeper now but the last time I came through Kingston lock we nearly had a rowing skiff sink - the lock keeper wasn't paying attention and didn't notice it had got stuck in a hole in the side of the lock and wasn't rising with the water and our attempts to bounce it free just weren't working!

Have fun! :-)

Apologies for the double post but, unless this thread has a really close target, it shouldn't affect the result .. I needed to correct myself - I was obviously having a senior moment when I posted this earlier and managed to mix up 2 different trips - one to Kingston BRIDGE and one through SHEPPERTON Lock - oops! Still, old age creeping up is better than the alternative!

No problems SusieQ. The thread will last awhile, and it's not a "post number count" target.
You owe us all something in the Beta bar though, for that double post :-)

Most certainly - I see some have already placed their orders - mine's a quad double espresso, its the only way I'll get through today's boring pile of documents....

About to leave for home, having survived another work week. Looking forward to a weekend with no DIY - yay!

Rob, hope the boating trip goes smoothly :-)

Home - and the boat is now on what will be its home waters - After not a bit of fun with the gearbox which delayed events by more than a day.
