I was just able to upload some WU's and download a few more. I hope we're back and this wasn't just a fluke from SETI's return from maintanence this morning.

I can still download work, but not upload any more. The scheduler seems to be pretty responsive.

Any progress on eliminating the conflict that was going on with the main SETI@home project?

My wife informed me that I got a bunch more Beta WUs the last time she sent in work for me. Yeah.

I would have to assume that if they're sending out work again, it must be fixed.

Nope, I'm getting units to crunch, but they are not being returned. currently 17 units sitting on my computer, waiting to stand up and be counted.

I just got another wu, but the app says that it's 4.00 I've had Beta on NNW/Suspend for about a week now.

I thought that there was supposed to be a 4.01 version.

Should I go ahead and crunch it?

I have work on other projects to do and just don't want to see the cpu cycles go to waste.

All nine of my existing (ready to run) beta WUs say 4.00, and I plan on crunching them.

ok, thanks tony :-)

OT: i'm getting p.o.'ed at cpdn, news page says it's up, but i can't get to my account, looks like all my credits under 2 hosts have vanished into thin air, over 1606+ credits... i'm looking real hard at the "detach" button right now
(edit) and if you try to post this "problem" in the fora there it's lost among entirely too many threads... (endedit)

they are going to be completely recalculating credit over the next week, so that should fix most, if not all, of the current problems. *crosses fingers*

I managed to upload one unit today (not that the site says I did, but really, I did!). The other I had to abort because I was fiddling around with the client_state.xml file to get an error message explained. The explaining worked, but it did take out the file that was waiting to upload. Oh well. ;)

true, i've read that too, i have my fingers crossed too, but putting cpdn on suspend is creating problems with LTD, EDF, & STD for other apps i have running. i see alot of people still have their cpdn credit, so if my credit has been lost and (what looks like) my hosts also, why should i keep crunching this wu?

Jord, when you play with the xml state, do you still have boinc running? i've "cleared debt" befoer using DebtView, but end up creating new hosts as it creates another "authentication key" error in BOINC. what do you use to view/edit the xml file? Thanks for your time, James

I exit Boinc before I save any changes I make to the file, James. Using plain old Notepad for editing.

I can easily fiddle around in the client_state.xnl file while Boinc is running, as long as I remember to exit Boinc before I save any of the changes (I've managed to wreck Boinc once doing that in the past ;)).

If you want to clear your debt, it's better to use the Project Reset button in the manager. Do remember that this will delete any work units you still have, or haven't reported yet, so use with care. I usually set all projects to No New Work, let them run their cache empty before I do a project reset.

Resetting will also make that project delete all of its executables and help files, so everything has to be downloaded again. Just a little reminder in case you try this on CPDN, while on dialup. That 15MB master file has to be downloaded again. ;)

As for you and CPDN, James, I would consider a project reset there.
