A chess master is rated 2000 or above. Just minutes ago I made this rating in SETIB in my average credits: 2,006.20 . Yippeee, it feels great to make this rating. Now, I've got to set my sights on becoming a Grand Master, although I don't know what that ranking is. Have to look it up. Bobby Fischer, watch out!!! Thank you. I have the computers because I need to update my business machines every three years to stay ahead of the software bloat. And I hear that when Vista comes out, it'll make most all computers obsolete. Tom Johns The Maine Team Maine, the way life ought to be (except for the cold winters) |

heh.. make them obsolete.. maybe... in about 4-6 years when they start approaching its support cutoff time.. currently out of 250 computers at work.. 4 are xp pro, 150 are win 2k and the rest are win 98.. we have enough funding that we are aloud to replace 1 box a month.. and with the current cost of liscenses don't see us upgrading the rest of the flock any time soon.. our business model when it comes to computer systems is,.. if it ain't broke, don't fix it. oh,.. and i always like paul's site for windows info. winsupersite.com |

So let's see: everything's okay for 4-6 years. You have 250 computers of which one per month is replaced. So in a little over 20 years they'll all be replaced. Seems like you'll run out of time. I like my model better: Buy new every three years, needed or not. But then, I only need four computers up here in Maine, not 250. Tom Johns The Maine Team The Way Life Was Meant To Be! |
