I wonder if this is done yet. I would like to stay logged in to this and regular seti to avoid searching out those unmemorbale passwords. Any chance?

I sent this email to the developer's list on the 16th of June 2005:

First off I changed all my settings, logins and such at the Seti page to use http://setiathome.berkeley.edu
I then logged back in on my account there, so the new cookie would also point to that address.

I found out that doing that, still logged me out on Seti Beta though, so I went into my Mozilla Suite Cookie manager, only to find that most cookies to the old Seti link, were still being used by the setiathome link. So I deleted all cookies pointing to http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu
Exited all browser tabs and windows, restarted Mozilla, tried going to Seti proper. I could go there without the need to log in.

So the only next thing I did was go the Seti Beta, fill in my Beta account key and that was it. Correct cookie for both sites stored, they don't interfere with eachother anymore. I can now quit Mozilla and restart it, then go to each site without the need to log in.

I think you can work from it with Firefox and IE.

Using Opera I had to go through my Cookie Manager and delete old cookies from setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu and setiathome.berkeley.edu. I left the "beta" cookies alone and logged in again on S@H's site. It works just fine for me now.

I've tried deleting both cookies and I still have to use the account key to get here. Guess I'll try deleting S@H cookie(s) like Timothy did... wish me luck :-)

I had two setiweb.ssl cookies as well as a /beta/ cookie. Deleted them all and no problems now on either site.

In FireFox you had to delete your SETI key, bookmark both pages, then log in separately for it to stick.

I think you read "liberally spread firefox" in the team recruiting thread and got confused. :)

No, I follow Tony's point of view. You're secretly wanting to be on Dan's team, but really afraid to say it out loud. ;)

Pah-leeeze. I use Dan's browser. Especially when he's hitting the porn sites. But the buck stops there!
