Is it possible to switch to the BONIC version without creating a new account?

Yes, if your calssic account existed already before March 15th then your classic account with profile was moved here to BOINC. But if you don't have access to email adress defined in your classic account then to bad, no chance to get in it and you have to create new account. As I did.
