I do hope they manage to find a suitable stretch of track to do these trials on, as just now the US has no "proper" high speed lines where such trials could take place.
Having been involved in the current "steel on steel" record (AGV at 544kph) I know how much work is involved in the preparation and running of them, these days it's not just a case of getting out there and "opening the taps wide and see how fast she will go" as the authorities have placed all sorts of obstacles in the way :-(

Lots can happen, however as far as I remember Norfolk and Southern have withdrawn support for steam excursions.

Still as it is at least 11 years away I have to wonder if I personally will ever see it run.

This is very sad and makes me wonder just what satisfaction, they got out of it.

My N scale electronic billboard project is completed. It uses an Arduino Nano with a real-time clock and temp sensor, and the billboard frame was designed by me and printed on the 3D printer. I hope you enjoy!

You can see a video of it here -

Great Hal. Now that you have it going, what is the RAC going to be? :)

Not very much. :-)

However, I now think I should have put the Seti@Home Logo in the sequence!
