Just going to let them run :), and let them dominate the leaderboards haha. I don't have any plans for another crazy build at the moment. i've tossed around the idea of building a system dedicated to Milkyway@home, to top their fastest host leaderboard as well (3x Radeon VII will do it) but I'm just enjoying my current farm of 3 major systems. being 1st 2nd and 3rd fastest systems with drastically different types of setups is cool and really shows how there's no "best" way to do things if you plan them out properly from the start. Long term goal to grind until I usurp Charles Long and take 2nd place in total credits. ~8 months at current pace maybe we already found the aliens, just need to wait for Nebula to get up and running so they can tell us how many we found. If you do want to build a mega system for MilkyWay, make sure you run JStateson's client to solve the idle/empty problem. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours ![]() ![]() A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

If you do want to build a mega system for MilkyWay, make sure you run JStateson's client to solve the idle/empty problem. And go for DP capable GPU`s ... our Nvidia GTX or RTX are not good for that. ![]() |

Yup. The Radeon VII is the best bang for buck card for double precision work. The only card faster is the Titan V, but it’s like 5x the price lol. 3x Radeon VII will beat 2x Titan V judging by the RACs of the top systems over there.
