I will present two issues, as I believe they may be related. First, I have each of my four computers set to a separate location in the general preferences for both the SETI and Einstein projects. When BOINC starts, it has always shown just my general preference location from my Einstein settings, but not the SETI location preference. Furthermore, it has always used the location in my Einstein preferences for both Einstein and SETI. Would this be a BOINC bug, or is there something wrong in my BOINC or project settings on my computers? Second, I have begun encountering a problem that may be related. I occasionally tweak SETI's "Use CPU" on or off for a computer. It has always worked, until today. Now I find that my Core2Quad computer, which uses the default location, continues to request SETI CPU units even when I uncheck the "Use CPU" option. Does anyone have any ideas about these issues? |

As far as I have observed, whatever project is last to modify the general location preferences is the one reported in the Manager for Preferences. And whatever host has used a Local Preferences overrides the General location or Venue location preferences.
