Vodafone Gigafast Broadband is being rolled out in a number of UK towns and cities, and uses only "full fibre" all the way to people's homes to provide improved speeds.
We had made improvements to our website several months before the ASA ruling to ensure that the cost and speed of each package is as clear as possible.
Considering that City Fibre's main partner happens to be Vodafone, that statement is also misleading. :-)

It seems "Bodge it & Scarper" are still in operation these days. :-(
As soon as they started, had concerns. They started with a shallow trench diagonally between the 2 front lawns & path with a mini-digger watched by all the neighbours. All wondered if they would hit the newly laid gas pipes installed by British Gas early last year (City Fibres contractor's while laying the main cable late last year actually ripped up a large portion of Virgin's cabling in the next street).

Fortunately, their trench was shallow enough to avoid that. The other main concern for all of us is this: Should Virgin need to replace any of the cables seen in the photo below, they will have a tough job as the metal trunking to the junction box is crimping most of them. As usual in todays society, they did not clean up after themselves.

On the + side, that junction box knocks spots off of Virgin's "shoddy" plastic covering (which I've secured using a cable tie & when having an engineer turn up to resolve issues in the past, & still do as they "forget" to secure it. :-(

Kim Mears, MD for Strategic Infrastructure Development, said:
“Currently, the UK is a world leader in digital infrastructure and services, but as the digital revolution rushes forwards and the demand for data continues to grow, we need to sure we stay ahead of the curve.
Oops...
e.g. harnessing 212MHz of spectrum instead of 106MHz today) could improve this but it’s still a very restricted technology. On the upside G.fast is comparatively cheap and very quick to deploy.
...FTTP would ensure they stay ahead of the curve. :)
