Thanks for the win TL, damn I've never won one of these before, so let's carry on with the usual. The rules ------------ 1. Winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules. 2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.) 3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached. 4. When the target is reached, old winner posts declaration of new winner and also PMs them. 5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.) 6. No double posts. Violator buys a round for the house in Rocky's. 7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post) Cheers. |

Near you? One charging station way way across town and not very convenient.

Vic, methinks the panel would do better without the filtering action of the windshield. |

I spent most of yesterday playing around with half of my early birthday present to myself (a SSD and new CPU fan) and by yesterday evening my 2500K was converted over to Linux Mint 19.1. Now I plan on having a break today (it is Sunday here after all and some beers must be enjoyed) so about the only thing that I'll be doing is watching w/u's being gobbled up (also my toes are nice and warm where they are). The other SSD and CPU fan will get put into my 3570K sometime during the week. Now get posting everyone as I was hoping to have this finished by tomorrow. ;-) Cheers. |

I spent my morning installing a new power supply and two new video cards. I give up. Will try again tomorrow. System is not booting. I have checked and double checked all of the connections. Turn it on and all I hear is the sound of a relay. Nothing else. Oh well further trouble shooting tomorrow. |

(750Watt, or less...???) Also, in the garage, I have a spare modular, (used), 750Watt PSU that you can have. (Repayment for the Nighthawk Case!) The spare PSU I have works fine, I just wanted the Upgrade to the Platinum Rated Corsair HX750i that I have now. Let me know. TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! I had an old 650 but it lacked the connectors for the new cards. It was about 9 years old too. So I purchased a new Corsair HX850 platinum. I have a PS tester somewhere. So I will find out tomorrow.

I can feel your frustration Carlos. :-( After just 16hrs of crunching my revived 2500K rig's RAC has passed 2.5K and its GPU work's APR is already up to 1,040.33 GFLOPS (it was 266.37 GFLOPS under Windows). The extra heat being produced by the 1060's now is already being appreciated as well seeing as winter here is just around the corner. Admittedly there is extra power being drawn from the wall, but it will be cheaper heat than firing up 1 of my old rigs for more heat (and it's getting close enough to being cold enough to do that now here). Cheers. |
