Never come across them before. Why don't you build your PC yourself? Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours ![]() ![]() A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Origin PC are gaming computers, the company was founded by former Alienware employees. While you will be able to run BOINC & Seti on it, the systems are specifically setup with 3D heavy gaming in mind. |

The builds listed on the Maingear page you linked looked the most appealing to me also. Workstation level construction a plus for crunching. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours ![]() ![]() A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

The one I am getting isI9=9980 XE with an ASUS ROG Rampage VI Extreme Omega X299 plus 4 x RTX 2080 Ti water cooled system. OK, that makes more sense since that is an X-series processor. Your previous post said you were getting an i9-9900 which I assumed you just dropped the K from the model name end. That is a socket 1151 processor to be use only in 300 series chipset motherboards. Your i9-9980 XE is a socket 2066 to be used in an X299 chipset motherboard. That board has only three full length PCIE slots. So I don't know how your builder is going to fit four RTX 2080 Ti cards. I think you should ask them. I only see https://www.asus.com/microsite/mb/cross/X299/ [Edit] Realized since all four 2080 Ti's are going to be I assume custom water blocked and ostensibly, one card slot wide, the PRIME X299-DELUXE would also be a candidate.
