I am especially interested in many gpu slots with high levels of stability and reliability. This includes high end VRM setups. Based on some discussion in other threads I am apparently interested in X470 chip sets.

I have 6 pcie slot Biostar and Asrock MB's with lower end chipsets. (B350/B450)

So what are the candidate MB's that will or MIGHT run up to 9 video cards? (Yes, I am assuming one 1 to 4 expander card as part of the riser card setup).

While I don't have the money right now to buy a MB upgrade I would really like to migrate back up to a reliable 9 or more gpu system using my Am4 cpu's. So this might be a Christmas shopping list.

Yes, I have found a 7 slot X570. https://www.anandtech.com/show/14161/the-amd-x570-motherboard-overview The current price ($700 I think) is high enough I could buy an 11 slot Intel server motherboard for my current Intel cpu/memory hardware.

ASUS have an X570 workstation motherboard but it’s only got 3 PCIe x16 slots (which run at x8/x8/x8) but hey they’re PCIe4 so twice as fast as the previous generation.
