Does anyone know how to get back the link to the SETI (and more) credits we used to have in the messages when we post?

The message I'm referring to is: Since the changeover in the webpages for BOINC stats, etc., they have not been showing up. George ![]() |

Mine have been showing up. I was told the BoincStats signatures went missing for a day last week but I never noticed, after the BoincStats website was updated. They were fine the next and continue to be fine as far as I know. Go to your BoincStats account from the link on your Seti account from any of your posts. The main page of your BoincStats account has two URL's at the bottom. One for all projects and one for the project you reached BoincStats from. Copy the URL address. Then go to your Seti account and Community Preferences and on that page enter the BoincStats signature URL you copied and save the preferences. Thanks Keith, I guess I finally have old age setting, I knew that as soon as I read it. BTW, I think yours needs to be reset for SETI. You have a blank little icon below your GPU users group. George ![]() |

I see my stats fine on my browsers. I do know that if I leave either Ublock Origin or Privacy Badger enabled for the Seti website, all I get is the icon placekeeper. Do you have a spam blocker enabled in your browser? [Edit] I do see both the BoincStats and FreeDC stats link icons are now missing from everyone's posts under their account name. The signatures still display fine. And the Community preferences shows the signatures on the configuration pages. I could see your BoinStats icon before you changed it. I also can currently see Keith's stats fine. looks like you changed yours to FreeDC instead. Seti@Home classic workunits: 29,492 CPU time: 134,419 hours ![]() ![]() |

Probably means DA is messing with the website code again. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours ![]() ![]() A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Hmmm... I don't know what's going on anymore. Maybe it's me or my PC. When I click on the link in at the top of the page, it does nothing. When I click on the link at the bottom of the page it shows up in another window. When I copy the link from the bottom of the page and place it in my community preferences with the image links before and after, I get the blanck little icon like Keith has, and others. Is it me? Do I need to update my driver for my GPU? Is it time to replace my PC's CPU? Or as Keith says: Probably means DA is messing with the website code again. In the meantime I'll be happy to leave my FREE-DC link in place until I get some answers. George ![]() |

Your BoincStats signature graphic is displaying right underneath your FreeDC stats signature now. You did something or other or DA put things back to working. Still don't see the quick link icons under anyone's name though still. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours ![]() ![]() A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

On my PC screen (I use my TV as a monitor also) I don't see it. Only a blank icon representing what should be there. What I don't understand is when I do the same thing with the FREE-DC link it shows up fine. George ![]() |

Gary, you triggered something in my little brain (which feebly is working overtime). I went and cleared my browsers cache as well as cookies, browsing download history, form and search history and active logins. Closed out my browser, and then reloaded it. No luck. My Firefox was letting me down! Then I tried the other browsers (which I very rarely use) like Google Chrome, Opera, and MS-Edge. They worked just fine at showing the "missing link". I couldn't figure it out..... until a 1,000w bulb went off in my head. One at a time I had gone to my "add-ins" a disabled the things like Ghostery, UBlock Origin and Privacy Badger. Low and behold... Privacy Badger was the culprit. So as soon as I disabled it for this particular website, my missing link suddenly appeared. It's a long winded story but I thought it would be good for those that may have similar troubles. I can rest at ease again! George ![]() |

George, I told you 8 posts further back in this thread to disable Privacy Badger and Ublock Origin. https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=84474&postid=2005227 Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours ![]() ![]() A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Yep, you sure did. Like I said, my feeble brain was working overtime. Unfortunately, I must have missed that... or forgot it... Regardless, I now have done so. Thanks Keith. George ![]() |
