All I get in the UK is an image showing: "Content not viewable in your region" Trump's random tariffs? Or some other politics at play?? Enjoy? Martin See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Ironically, it's a photo of 2 aliens. One is holding a helmet and mask that looks like Marvin the Martian from Looney Tunes. He is saying, "When you first make contact with the earthlings, wear this helmet. Trust me. It'll be hilarious." |

All I get in the UK is an image showing: Imgur has blocked the UK because the UK's data watchdog, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), said it recently notified the platform's parent company, MediaLab AI, of plans to fine Imgur after probing its approach to age checks and use of children's personal data. |

Back to the original post: "Every predicted rupture in the past did happen exactly as predicted." Which ruptures? Irony... a strange humor, or religious criticism? Hard to discern for me... |

One question (and I've not looked for the answer yet) is how does this affect Imgur users in the UK who have loaded all their pictures to Imgur? And will a pathway be established to allow them to retrieve them? Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Note: There is no "Cloud". There are only someone else's computer with your photos/documents/life. And note... There are two types of people using computers: 1: Those that keep their own backups; 2: And those who have not yet lost all their data.

A digital dark age? The people rescuing forgotten knowledge trapped on old floppy disks From lectures by Stephen Hawking to the letters of British politician Neil Kinnock – it's a race against time to save the historical treasures locked away on old floppy disks. |

The advertising industry has "jumped the proverbial shark." What will they think of next? DirecTV’s AI Screensavers Turn Your Family Into Ads Starting next year on DirecTV Gemini devices, this is the plan. After 10 minutes of TV inactivity, instead of seeing Google wallpapers like you do now, your screen turns into an AI-powered shopping carousel where you can literally insert yourself into purchase-ready scenarios. Welcome to the future, where your living room becomes a personalized retail showroom. |

I know what you mean. Yesterday I was watching a YouTube video and decided to check Amazon for a price check on the tech item for the YouTube video. I hit search and got about 3 letters before it suggested exactly what I wanted to search for.

You saved a lot of time. Isn‘t that great? Saved time? Actually it means that I was being tracked on the Internet.

You saved a lot of time. Isn‘t that great? I don't see ads when I use my web browsers unless there's no other way to view something. If a website won't let me see the content without disabling my 'privacy settings' then I'll look elsewhere to views the content or just skip it altogether. Ad's & tracking beacons or cookies are like spies in your computer or cellphone watching most of not everything you do and then there is "Malvertising" - advertising with malicious intent. That's where a good ad & tracking blocker add on (some times call an "extension"), to your web browser or a privacy based browser such as BRAVE or VIVALDI come in to use. |

The kitties recommend the Brave browser. The advertising c**nts in this world are getting ever more aggressive in pushing their bullsh*t on those who do not wish to receive it. I now get an ad any time I simply pause a movie on my Roku. It is getting rather sickening. I guess the only thing the average guy can do is do what I and the kitties do.
