Hello all. This might be asked before but i couldn`t find a solution. I have multi OS system. Win 7, win 10, Mint 18.3 and Mint 20.2 all on different partitions. I do like Mint 20.2 for my daily driver but sometimes i want to game as well. I never did much on win 10 because of its restrictions but did a 21H1 update with iso installer. Installed different tools like Spybot Antibeacon and win 10 privacy. Some things are bugging me on win 10. Thunderbird can`t connect with aol for some reasons and windows updates are going on my nerves. Thunderbird works on the other 3 osses just fine with the same settings. I read hundreds of tutorials last night switching off updates but non are really working. Anyone has a working solution ? With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

I have installed Thunderbird on a Windows 10 PC and it works. My provider is Telecom Italy (TIM). Tullio |

Is AOL using the OAuth authentication scheme. I couldn't get Sendmail working with yahoo mail until I got the OAuth token and used that for authentication. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours   A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Is AOL using the OAuth authentication scheme. I couldn't get Sendmail working with yahoo mail until I got the OAuth token and used that for authentication. Yes, but like i said it works on win 7 and Mint without any problems. Thunderbird detects the correct setting. It just dont work on win 10. I m usung EMclient for now but dont like it. Try the usual Windows fix of reinstalling the latest version of Thunderbird?... OAuth update (or install) is another good guess. Good luck?... BTW: I had good success with WINE for keeping various Windows-only programs running, long long past their expiry. We now also have Steam for Linux for games. And VMs and Applets... Worth a look? Microssoft are ltying therough theirteeth. They said after Windows 10 that they wouldn't play the numbers game again. I was Win 10and updates. Ever since Bill gates walked out and let the accountants take over the company has gone to the dogs. He's got enough dosh to buy the company and run it his way like it always was done. Why not? |

I found it with some help. It is in the group policy but only works on pro versions. Thunderbird now also works. I just copied the profile folder from win 7 and pasted it in win 10. So i have all contacts and setting on all osses identicaly. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |
