Don't know if it's the reason, but the problem started after I ran out of space on my 2nd HD, the partition was getting to small so I copied the AIO boinc folder to main HD, formatted the 2nd HD and moved the folder back, starting the boinc manager and all was fine. Starting boinc manager today, after the PC has been shut off, boinc manager says disconnected. Running boinc in a terminal gets this error 22-Feb-2022 23:49:43 [---] Setting up GUI RPC socket Running ./boinc --gui_rpc_port 31417 and things work. Running ./boinc --gui_rpc_port 31417 & ./boincmgr -g --gui_rpc_port==31417 starts both boinc and the manager, but boinc manager still shows disconnected. |

Well I compared the boinc files with a fresh copy of the AIO package and somehow one permission had changed in the boinc file, changed in back and now boinc manager runs again... |

Still have the problem. Strangely, if I extract a fresh copy of AIO and run the manager, it works and asks to attach a to project, I say no and exit the manager. Then I no problem starting the real installation of boinc and run the manager. |

Probably a permissions issue. Why don't you start the client and the Manager in terminals so you can see the output of both for better troubleshooting information. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Probably a permissions issue. Running boinc get the GUI RPC error mentioned in 1st post, running manager just opens it with the disconnected error, no message in terminal. |
