With cryptomining possibly dropping off due to "stagflation" and this hard slapp on the wrist for NVIDIA... will GPU prices be coming down to Earth any time soon? NVIDIA fined for failure to disclose cryptomining sales boost "The SEC's order finds that, during consecutive quarters in NVIDIA's fiscal year 2018, the company failed to disclose that cryptomining was a significant element of its material revenue growth from the sale of its graphics processing units (GPUs) designed and marketed for gaming," the SEC said. |

Perhaps NVIDIA should know that there could exist customers for that of their products for only being sold. |

NVidia goes gaming onwards: NVIDIA laid out its plan to manipulate the market... Here's the proof... Is that "fair" gaming?... All "just business"? Or a repeated game of Monopoly??... Play on!... About to backfire? The only entity it will hurt is EVGA and consumers. Nvidia will just sell EVGA’s allocation to someone else. Any of the other companies will scoop it up. Seti@Home classic workunits: 29,492 CPU time: 134,419 hours |

Not with Nvidia undercutting them they won't. Did you watch the video? |

Not with Nvidia undercutting them they won't. did you? lol. the allocation is highly sought after by AIBs. just because EVGA doesn't want to play ball anymore doesn't mean the others won't. Nvidia doesnt care. they will sell their chips anyway. that's kind of the perk of having the best product. Seti@Home classic workunits: 29,492 CPU time: 134,419 hours |

Yes I did. Nvidia has been screwing over the AIB's for some time. Maybe your point is for the greedy little boys who don't care as long as their allocation gets increased. Did you note the fact that Nvidia selling the GPU#s direct was the cheapest price available? |

my point was the reality that it wont hurt Nvidia, because their bottom line will be met regardless. EVGA is only shooting themselves in the foot with this action. 75% or more of their whole business is selling Nvidia GPUs. they can't survive on "just ok" motherboards, PSUs, and merch. with their fire sales recently, killing off many incentive programs, along with other recent actions by the company, the CEO seems set to drive this company into the ground. while it's hard for the AIBs, Nvidia prices their self branded cards the way they do to keep the prices of their cards competitive. it forces the AIBs to reign in their pricing as well. what exactly is your point besides "big Nvidia bad"? what exactly is your point besides "big Nvidia bad"?As a long standing member of the project & a welcome knowledgeable contributor to this board, your comment above displays a mindset that I find hilarious. I've often ridiculed ML1 for his anti-corporation stance, however for the past couple of years find myself agreeing with him - to a degree. When a company gets too big that they start stifling the competition , that ends up stifling innovation & that leads to consumers ending up screwed. |

there is no mindset. i think you're reaching for things that aren't there. I simply said that Nvidia wont be hurt by EVGA's actions here. which you seemed to refute by saying that undercutting the other AIBs would cause some kind of harm to Nvidia without any further elaboration. it certainly comes off as blind anti-corporatism much like ML1's posts. I never said Nvidia wasn't acting in poor taste, it's widely known in the industry that nvidia acts like a ruling dictator and that they are controlling and difficult to work with. just that EVGA pulling out wont hurt them, which is true. their sales will just go to someone else more than willing to scoop up the allocation (so much was said directly in Jay's video that you claim i didn't watch) because even though working with Nvidia is difficult, their products will sell and from a business standpoint for many other AIBs the juice is worth the squeeze. that's the reality of the situation. Very true, but... If other AIBs were to follow EVGAs example of not being screwed by NVIDIA any more, it could hurt NVIDIA in the long run. By NVIDIA getting into graphic cards and undercutting the AIBs, they (AIBs) won't take it any longer. That example Jay showed, where NVIDIA had a 3090 (I think it was) $300 bucks under EVGAs 3090... Well, EVGA did say if they lowered their price just to match NVIDIA, that would make EVGA lose money on the deal... Talk about reverse scalping...
