Thank you Rob,
Believe me, hitting both decks is not a lot of fun. I will never buy a boat with the main cabin forward. That's a common design but it's also where a boat pitches the most. Give me a nice aft cabin and I will be much happier. I'm also happy to have won this thread. It has been a while.
So post away but don't forget the rules.

Now for the rules:
-------------

1. The winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules.
2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.)
3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached.
4. When the target is reached, the old winner posts a declaration of the new winner and also PMs them.
5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.)
6. No double posts. Violators buy drinks or a meal for the house in Rocky's.
7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post)
8. No picture-only posts - not all pictures we link to show on everyone's computers & phones.

I know about hitting deck-heads and decks in sequence - thankfully it's a fairly rare thing to do due to waves on a UK canal, but sometimes those fitting out a boat just haven't made due allowance for a 6ft male to stand up without making contact with the deck-head, and subsequent contact with the deck (usually while muttering "rude thoughts" about the boat fitter....).

Have a great Christmas, and may you have smooth seas and helpful winds.

The uncomfortable bit is when the heads are on the upper side of a heavily heeled over sailing yacht...

We carried a bucket for such occasions.

... Or for the more adventurous, you hung your arms around the stays and trusted to the physics of staring down to the oh-so-very-close waves rushing by at the tips of yer toes.

Back on land on this dark damp part of the UK...

Well... Internationally we have the infamous "Delhi belly"...

I can't believe I'm suffering a blast of unwanted desserts after just the first day of The Food Desert!

AAAargh!

Congratulations Carlos!

I'd be happy if the forecasted snowstorm somehow could be diverted from the U.S. to Europe. We would really love that for once.... to be completely locked up in snow at Christmas. The accompanying chaos would be accepted (once at least). To compensate, we would redirect our expected cool, gray, constant rain.

Congrats Carlos.

Posting on a cool Thorsday morning, but so far it's a clear and sunny 12C (feel like 8C) with just 23C being expected today.

Anyhow it time for a coffee.

Cheers.

Interestingly:

The Positivitum has spread...

We now have two Operatives who have found that getting to 100% of the required specification is amazingly easy!

Or is it positivity emanating from my mere presence??

Anyhow, regardless for whatever, it does make for much more relaxed easy working with some good results also. Beautifully easy.

(And nope, I'm not daring to go anywhere near anything Boeing!)

As I enjoy my last coffee for the morning after a quick trip into town the temp here is now at a sunny, but windy, 17C (feels like 13C).

Cheers

A good success for the night with the Positivitum now infecting a third Operative...

Insisting upon 100% to-spec, and where anything less is directly openly immediately branded as "sloppy and shoddy" really is doing the trick with this lot!

Yay... This is actually getting easier...

It's time to head up the hill for today's LLB.

It's also 19C (feels like 16C) here.

Cheers.

Speaking of the head, Martin. Even on the “Edith Keeler” Captain Kirk had a phaser pistol stashed in the head for special occasions.

However, keep in mind that your red string bracelet is a symbol of protection, luck, and good fortune in many cultures. Taking off your red string bracelet will also remove its protection around you. If you feel like you need the extra protection, put it back on as soon as possible.
