The Sun did show up here, but decided it was too cold so went into hiding again....

Message 2144374 - Posted: 23 Dec 2024, 21:36:33 UTC

Well we got off to a very cool 6C (felt like 4C) with 28C expected today, but I did get my unit down to an amazing 15C (felt like 10C) which I've just closed up into a wind tunnel so it should be pretty good in here all day.

Anyhow as soon as I finish this 3rd coffee I'll head outside to finish topping up my settled wicking tubs and trimming off the excess linings before planting seeds and it gets too hot out there which is now up to 16C (feels like 13C). I just hope that I don't go through the sciatic hell that I went through yesterday.

Cheers.

Lost in the cold misty dark and drizzle.

... Except...

I'm sure it ain't as cold as should be expected...

Still, everything is soggy sopping wet!

That's my new as well as my huge wicking tubs done with capsicum, carrot, Chinese cabbage, Cos lettuce and shallot seeds planted and all the rest watered as the temp gets outside to 21C (feels like 18C).

Now I'm just cooling down in my 16C (feels like 12C) wind tunnel enjoying 1 extra coffee for the morning before heading over to the supermarket for some supplies to carry me and Dog over the nest few days.

Then it's up the pub for a Chrissy eve LLB seeing as the place will be closed for the next 4 Days, but I'm well stocked up at home to cover that. ;-)

Cheers.

I do have to make a pot of Staters coffee.
Only if you want to Vic. ;-)

Anyhow now that me and Dog are ok until next year it's time for that LLB that I mentioned. :-D

Cheers.

Just 1 in a small village that has 2 with half of the population off on holidays elsewhere Mike.

Well we got to 27C (felt like 23C) today, but it's now down to 15C feels like 13C) with 9C expected in the morning.

Anyhow I'm just tossing up on whether to have an early night or not.

Cheers.

That's understandable of course. :)
I hope you can have a few beers elsewhere then.

Well... The weather is weirdly warm for this time of year. With beautifully clear views also. Very weird.

Very much looking forward to a day off tomorrow!

Merry Christmas to everyone!

It's an unseasonally 63 F / 17 C and Thor's hammer has been banging the big water barrel making everything wet here in the Dallas Fort Worth, Texas area. Santa will need a covered sleigh to deliver presents tonight.

There is significant winter weather here. It's 42f but with wind chill it feels like 32f. We have strong winds with gusts to 90mph in the passes. Here it's well over 20-30. Getting rain and occasional snow flurries. Passes are expecting over a foot of snow.
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas....

Merry Xmas everyone.

It got off to a cool 10C (felt like 9C) start here with 28C expected.

Not to worry Mike as I have plenty of home brewed alcohol here.

Anyhow it's time for a coffee now as the sun rises.

Cheers.

Now that my veggies have been attended too all I have left to do this morning is to let Dog off of her chain (at 10am) and then the rest of the day is my own to keep cool where possible.

I should've closed up my unit before going outside as it was again 15C (felt like 10C) in here, but it's now 16C (feels like 12C) and all closed up while outside it's up to 17C (feels like 14C).

Anyhow it's time for a 2nd coffee.

Cheers.

Posting on a Thorsday morning as a glow begins in the east and a coffee is ready to be had while it's 11C (feels like 9C) with a stinking 30C being expected.

Cheers.

The upper left coast is very wet from a fire hose in the sky often called an atmosperic river. It is 43F at sea level and the snow level is down to 2500 ft, up to 2 ft is expected.
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas.

I'm at 5,000 feet. I got a few inches of snow yesterday but it all melted today. It's 37F here just above Reno. I just looked at Windy and the atmospheric river is splitting at SF going north and south. We are in a null area between the split.

Well that's the dishes and 3 loads of washing done along with rinsing out the empty beer bottles from the last couple of days as the temp here hits 25C (feels like 24C).

Anyhow it's time to cool down inside my 19C (feels like 16C) wind tunnel while enjoying a slightly early LLB.

Cheers.
