I was thinking about taking a trip down to Slimbridge, but given the mist/fog and the colour pallet of most of the birds there I'm going to stay here. Martin's coffee sounds a great idea - have I got a large enough mug? Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Just looked at the weather forecast for the coming week. How does the forecaster know I'm going to have a curry on Tuesday night? Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Easy: You'll either be adding to a smog; Or helping blow away a few more trees and bushes! Such is prognostications of Nostradamus and UK weather forecasting... Will Merthyr Tydfil ever be the same again??... (Once cycled through that place. Made it through ok. Not tried again since.) Mmmm... I too hope to be enjoying a stonkin' good curry tomorrow... Depending upon timings! Enjoy!! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Sunday morning I am greeted by high winds of 20-25 with gusts into the '30s but a warm 50F (10c) falling to the low 40's by mid-day. The ground is wet so showers are passing by. It is snowing in the passes further up the mountain than where I am. I don't recall seeing a forecast for temps falling as the sun rises. |

Now that I've finished my 2nd coffee of the morning I'm about to head outside to get a bit more pruning of that storm damaged climbing rose in before day 5 of the 4th test gets underway and it gets to warm out there. Currently we're already up to a sunny 19C (feels like 17C), but showers and storms could be roaming about later in the day. Cheers. |

It's 29F out and there is a dusting of snow. It should rise to 40 this afternoon. Very light winds blowing. It's nice living in the mountains. |

The temp made it to 25C here today. We also dodged 3 intense thunderstorms and after a few hours of lite rain we're down to 16C with 13C expected in the morning. Time to start preparing for the fireworks. Happy New Year to you all. Cheers. |

It's still before dawn but I see a few small snowflakes falling. It's 29f (-2c) with nearly imperceptible winds at 1 mph. Our high is expected to be 43f just as the sun goes down at 4:30. It is rather pleasant so early in the morning. Fireworks? I have lived in California so long that I forgot about fireworks. They are legal in Nevada. Never mind, I just looked it up. They are legal on July 1-3 from 6-10 pm and July 4 from noon to 11 pm. Interestingly, any fireworks can be sold in Nye Count but none can be used there. They can be bought and used on the Moapa Indian reservation year-round. |
