Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The search for Extraterestrial Intelligence has probably been going on since man has looked into the sky. From Gods to Man and imagined things in between the search continues and it has just recently in mans history taken a truly technical nature. But still the answer to the SETI quest eludes us...and probably always will. The reachs of space are so vast and incomprehensible, and the matter in it so distant that our chances are almost negligable when you factor in estimates of "Technical Civilizations"...but what a wonderful thing it would be to know "We are not alone"...and for this reason we will always be compelled to continue the search. Humanities quest for knowledge can never be quenched.
